Terms & conditions
The practical details of using Hug & Ink, personalising a story and ordering a book.

Draft for launch · Updated 5 October 2026. Business details and final policies are being confirmed before orders open.
Who we are
Hug & Ink is the trading name of [Registered business name], registered in [Country of registration]. Registration: [Registration number, if applicable]. Address: [Registered business address].
These details and the final sales terms are being finalised. The contact and creative forms send your message to us. Orders are taken through our checkout when it is open.
Using the website
The builder and enquiry pages are intended for adults arranging books or discussing creative work. Use accurate information and only provide personal details that you are entitled to share.
Do not use the site to submit unlawful, abusive or infringing content, interfere with the service or access information without permission.
Your personalised book
Please review names, spelling, parent titles, character choices and dedication text before ordering. A custom dedication changes that page; it does not change the story or commission new artwork.
Screen colours can vary from printed colours. Product specifications, any preview limitations and the final print details will be stated before purchase. Preview artwork is watermarked; any print treatment will be confirmed in the final product details.
Orders, prices and payment
Prices, including delivery, are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe on its secure checkout page.
The checkout and order confirmation will explain when an order is accepted. We will contact you if a requested book or delivery service is unavailable. Do not treat a preview or an enquiry as an accepted order.
Delivery, cancellation and problems
Delivery estimates and available destinations will be shown before purchase. If there is a delay or a problem with your book, contact us so we can explain your options.
Our delivery and returns policies form part of the final sales information. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Stories, artwork and your own work
Site branding, stories and artwork belong to their respective rights holders. A purchased book is for personal use; permission is required for commercial reproduction of protected material.
You keep ownership of an original pitch or portfolio submitted for discussion. We may review what you choose to share, but publishing rights, fees, licences, attribution and any use of commissioned work require a separate written agreement. An enquiry does not create a commission or promise payment.
Personal information
Our privacy notice explains how preview choices, contact details and creative enquiries are handled. Avoid including private information in a dedication or a shared preview link.
Applicable law and changes
The business must confirm [Governing law and jurisdiction] before sales begin. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.
We may update these terms as the service develops. Final terms will be available before purchase, and the terms applicable to an accepted order will be identified at that time.
