Accessibility

Creating a family keepsake should be welcoming and easy to use.

Draft for launch · Updated 5 October 2026. Business details and final policies are being confirmed before orders open.

Our aim

We aim to make Hug & Ink usable with a keyboard, on smaller screens and with assistive technology. We use labelled fields, visible focus indicators and text to explain choices as well as colour.

We have not completed an independent accessibility audit and do not claim full conformance to an accessibility standard. We will update this statement as the site develops.

Reading and personalising

Use the labelled previous and next buttons to turn pages. In the full-screen reader, the left and right arrow keys also turn pages when you are not editing a field. A phone shows one book page at a time.

Illustrated book pages contain visually positioned text and a page-turn animation, which may be harder to use with some assistive technologies or at high zoom. Browser reduced-motion settings reduce interface transitions; the page-turn effect itself may still animate. An alternative reading format is not yet available.

Tell us what gets in your way

If you find a barrier, tell us which page you were using, what you were trying to do and, if you are comfortable sharing it, your browser or assistive technology. Please avoid sending private details about a child.

You can send an accessibility enquiry from the contact page. Our contact details are being finalised.
